BEST VALUE IN GIG HARBOR!

Looking through the Gig Harbor homes in good locations (convenient to schools, dining & shopping, medical, freeways…), I don’t think you’ll find a better value than this one.

Click here to see home details

With over 1900 sq. ft., this comes in at under $300/sq. ft.!

Located in an established neighborhood close to award-winning schools, on a private corner lot with a fenced backyard, you’ll have the luxury of newer appliances, the comfort that comes from a heat pump, and covered and uncovered outdoor areas.  And the opportunities that come with the spaces on the lower level are up to your imagination!

Could it use some updating?  Sure.  Hence the less than $300/sq. ft. price.  Come take a look and make this your home for the holidays!

Moving back to Gig Harbor

Moving back to Gig Harbor

Lately I’ve been working with more and more people who are moving back to Gig Harbor after having lived away for a few years.  What they’re saying is that they just missed the small town ambience of this waterfront community.  The free outdoor concerts and movies in the summer, the festivals and parades, the parks and walking trails – all the qualities that make life in Gig Harbor so special.

And that they want their kids to attend the highly-rated Gig Harbor schools and take advantage of the opportunities for sports, the arts, marine sports, etc.

Some left seeking a drier, sunnier climate only to return because they missed the year-round green trees and lawns.  Others left to be closer to family members, to take advantage of a job opportunity, or for various other personal reasons.

Some of those who left for financial reasons are finding that they just can’t get the quality of life they had here in Gig Harbor elsewhere.

Our shopping and dining, medical facilities, parks, the arts, the history, the waterfront lifestyle, the incredible beauty of the Puget Sound and the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges, Mt. Rainier looming in the distance, the proximity to the great city of Seattle and all it has to offer – it’s tough to beat.  But it’s ultimately the sense of pride that encourages people to work together to keep Gig Harbor special that makes people decide that moving to Gig Harbor is a very good idea.

Prize Patrol in Gig Harbor    November 13, 2009

Prize Patrol in Gig Harbor!
Yesterday while taking advantage of the beautiful day to get some new photos, I started chatting with another “photographer” standing beside me.   We were down at the old ferry landing trying to get the perfect shot of a sailboat making its way across Gig Harbor Bay.

As it turns out, Andrew, the other photographer was visiting from New York and was here on a very special mission.  He and his associate, John were members of the Prize Patrol from Publisher’s Clearing House and had come to Gig Harbor to award a prize to a local resident.  How cool is that!?

Now I’ll admit, I’ve always been a tad skeptical about whether these prizes ever actually existed.  I’m pretty sure I’m not alone here….  But as I talked to Andrew and John, I learned a little about the various regional contests.  There are contests based on your first name, initials – all kinds of fun little things.   So they award many more prizes than just the big one in February.  Who knew?

To see a winner in Gig Harbor assured me that there indeed is a Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol.  In fact Andrew and John are headed to Seattle to award another prize today.

What a fun job that must be!
