Gig Harbor March 24, 2026

🌿 What to Do in March in Gig Harbor

(A local’s take on living in Gig Harbor this time of year)

March in Gig Harbor has its own kind of magic. It’s that in-between season where the air still feels cool and a little soggy, but the days are getting longer—and spring is just around the corner.

Some of the things I’ve done so far this March are a great reminder of why I love living here.

🚶‍♀️ Walk the Harbor

One of the simplest (and best) things to do in Gig Harbor is just… walk.

Whether it’s a quick stroll or a longer loop, the waterfront never disappoints. Walking past the fishing fleet, kayakers, paddle-boarders and dragon boats make for the kind of views that encourage you just keep walking.

Not just good for your health—it’s good for your mindset, too.  Not to mention your blood pressure…

🍷 Sip and Savor Local Favorites

But the chilly days of March still call for cozy moments, and Gig Harbor has no shortage of those.

I took some time to enjoy the views of Gig Harbor Bay with a glass of wine at Morso Wine Bar (especially out on the deck when the weather cooperates) or The Hidden Harbor Wine Library. Both spots offer that relaxed, welcoming feel that makes it easy to settle in with some friends and stay awhile.

🍽️ Try Something New During Restaurant Week

Restaurant Week is always a Gig Harbor Waterfront highlight—and this year didn’t disappoint.

Dinner at Brimstone PNW Smokehouse turned into one of those meals that has you thinking about your next visit before you’ve even left the table.

Local events like this are a great excuse to explore new eateries as well as your tried-and-true favorites.

🥗 Lunch with Friends (Because That Matters Too)

Some of the best moments this month were the simplest ones—like long, relaxed lunches and happy hours with friends.

Places like Fondi Pizzeria, Lele’s, Cutters Point and Table 47 are perfect for that. Good food, easy atmosphere, and conversations you don’t want to rush.

🎨 Supporting the Community

One of the things that really stands out about living in Gig Harbor is how connected the community feels.

This month events like the Empty Bowls fundraiser, Chowder Fest, and a local ‘makers’ and food fair supporting high school scholarships brought people together in meaningful ways—and made it easy to support great causes close to home.

📚 Slow Moments Matter

Not everything has to be an event.

Quiet moments—my book club night, attending a movie in those ridiculously comfy seats at the Galaxy Theater, getting back into the garden, practicing my short game at Madrona Links, and simply watching the sunset from my deck—are just as, if not more important.

Those everyday experiences are often what make a house (or a town like Gig Harbor) truly feel like home.

🌅 Living Well in Gig Harbor

When people ask what it’s like living in Gig Harbor, this is what comes to mind.

It’s not just the homes—it’s the lifestyle.
The ability to slow down, connect, get outside, and enjoy where you are.

And that’s really what “living well” looks like.

If you’re thinking about making a move or how to improve your quality of life —or just curious about your options—my door is always open for conversation.
